What I Don't Waste On You

Ever have a girl tell you "Oh I'm not perfect"/"I don't deserve you"/"I'm just such utter trash compared to your godliness"? (maybe not the last one) If so, then you might like this poem.

What I Don't Waste On You

I spend a lot of time I don’t have on you
You tell it to me too
I’m all out of change
And I still can’t rearrange
My ways but anyway you still won't love me
But don’t forget I’m just as stubborn as you
And yeah we’re a little crazy too
But if I could keep up with your pace
Maybe I could close the space
Between the two of us
And I don’t care if your friends are going to make a fuss
Or if you say that I could pick someone else
Anyone else...
A more perfect girl who has more flair
Maybe prettier hair
And has a cute smile
I think you forget that I love your smile
That you make it worth my while
That when you send me a text
I can’t wait for the next
That I’m just happy being in the same class as you
That we were just talking and my crush grew
I normally can’t help it
You know that too
Even when you say we don’t know each other
I want to
I don’t want to just be your “brother”
I want to be your more than friend
Your special friend
And maybe more in the end
