Home

Sometimes I'll write something nice and short, the kinds of poems that appear on a daily inspiration quote or something of that nature. :D

Home

Home is where the Heart is
A phrase used too many times to count
But is it true?
Sometimes Home is a scary place
We'd rather not return there
XYZ has been happening
And we can't find our peace of mind
Other times, we can't bear to leave Home
It is our bastion, our fort, that protects us from the Unknown
This and that could happen
But Home is Home regardless
We come and go, but it's always there
It isn't a specific place
Sometimes we don't even know to call it Home
But it's there, waiting for us
So in a way, yeah "Home is where the Heart is"
But it's not just our Hearts that make it Home
It's EVERYTHING
From your favorite blanket to the lover awaiting your return

Home is what you MAKE IT
