Moments

Existential is my middle name. Yes, that's correct, totally my middle name. No, it's really not... and this was not an amusing attempt at a joke was it?

Moments

Do you know what moments I love most?
I love the moments when no one knows what lies ahead
When everyone is a collective mass of uncertainty
When there are no expectations to fulfill or verify
Only an unknown to await

I love the moments
Where we stand still
Breath bated, reserved
Contrasted by the unstillness within our bodies
The pounding in our chests

Can’t you love the moments when we are lost?
In the blind fog, there are no leaders, no followers
Everyone is just the same
A body, somebody
There is no knowing, there is only a void
Quiet, not frightening, just empty

I don’t love the moments of solitude
The loneliness of it all, divided lines and asymmetry
Why are your shapes so much more pointed than mine?
Why are there so many sides to your figure?
Existential, of or relating to existence
Do we not share that trait? That we exist?

For You, Princess

Let's vent sexual frustration with literary imagination and some phonetic machination. It's pretty self-explanatory.

For You, Princess

Oh dear princess, won’t you please love me?
Can’t you feel the unerring pound of my heartbeat?
My flighted feet and frenzies of fantasies
Every single time I feel you next to me
Can you hear the song that plays whenever you’re in the room
The one that always opens up with a boom
I want to see you soon
And even sooner than that
If we spent every moment together, my sharps would never fall flat
My highs and lows will always be for you
Could your lovely lullaby be for me too?
How is it that you do what you do?
The things that make me go mad for you?
Feel glad for you
Feel sad for you
With you, my skies are always blue
The sun always shining
At night the stars burn true
In the dark, you’re my silver lining
Give me one moment for now
And for an eternity later
This love that I hold could not be any greater
A kiss good morning
A kiss good night
With you, everything just feels right
I’d write you a thousand poems
And then write a thousand more
All these letters of love
Are for you whom I adore
Accept it with haste
Please don’t keep me waiting
Cause for you… my love is forever unabating

The Most Common Poem

Hey I heard you like slam poetry, so I took your slam and made a slam out of your slam so I can slam my slam while slammin your slam. Coo

The Most Common Poem

So how many people are gonna complain about fitting in?
And how many times am I gonna meet them with a grin?
I’m not worried about matching their circular logic
I’m a triangle so sharp that I’ll pierce that toxic
Robotic hypnotic drone groan
You can’t be grown till you grow up
The mere sight of your face makes me throw up
I’ve had enough
Of your close minded opinions
Assuming those are even your thoughts you’re thinkin
Or are you drinking from the same bottle
That throttles society, intellectuality
If not then stop me
Cause all I’ve been hearing lately
Is just how bad your self-entitled lives have been daily
And call me crazy, cause how can’t I be
When every single day’s about “me, me, ME”
There’s a fine line between genius and lunacy
And trust me when I say that you’re usually
The latter, stuck on the ladder to fame
Because apparently stupid’s the name of the game
When every dope, dingbat, dolt, and dork
Get’s 20 million hits on youtube for pokin his eye out with a fork
See I’m at the fork, between shoot me now and call me a clown
Since in this town, if you can’t beat’em join em
I get a buzz whenever I write this poem
Cause you see, I’ve said this hundreds of times before
There’s no limit to the lines that I can link
To the crimes of a generation that never thinks
And I apologize to the special few
Who don’t huff and puff the dead brain fumes
Who live in the empty rooms where humans once were
All we have left now are animals with less fur
And if you said that you concur
Congratulations, I applaud you sir
For being a survivor
A striver, a strider
Spreading the wings of intelligence wider
You, make our future brighter
As for the rest of the lot
The thoughtless and think-nots
I’ve got… nothing left to say to you
Nothing to say for you, adieu

Awkward

Oh but wait! There's more! Poetic self-descriptive literary perspective... yeah that sounds good. Let's go with that.

Awkward

Awkward
Even the way I say it is awkward
Awkward has a hard name, a hard face
And a difficult place
Sometimes even no place
I’ve known awkward since the day I was born
We were raised together
We lived together
Chances are… we’ll die together
Now I love awkward
More than awkward will ever know
But awkward is difficult
Uncompromising and unwilling
Awkward is afraid
Of learning what it means to be a person
Awkward will try to shelter me from pains that I can’t see
And people that I can’t meet
Awkward holds me
Limp and lifeless in arms that are tender and warm
But quivering and trembling under their own weight
I bear things for awkward
Hoping, that awkward can bear me
But even I can see
That awkward wants me to be free
Awkward wants me to live my own life
Without strife
Without struggle and burden
And even when awkward’s hurtin
I can feel the push
Not away
But toward brighter days and better ways of living
Of existing
While I may always return home to the corner that awkward and I own
I still leave, awkward and all… alone

The Kind of Guy

Give you all an insight into the mad genius' mind... but I'm not really a genius nor am I actually mad.

The Kind of Guy

Let me tell you a little bit about what kind of guy I am
I’m the kind of guy who lives life like an open book
...unfortunately, you have to open me first to have a look
See, I’m the kind of guy who hates secrets
I think too many people live life with too many regrets
I’m the kind of guy who uses his words wisely
...and unwisely and impolitely
It’s just... I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t take things lightly
I’m serious and forthrightly, though people might joke to spite me
I’m the kind of guy with headstrong morals
Who quarrels with others about their own thick skulls
So, I’m the kind of guy who writes about love and romance
...even though girls won’t give me a chance
I’m the kind of guy who seeks to find another
Silly, eccentric, homebody who hates to be a bother
You know, I’m the kind of guy who writes this kind of poem
Just so you folks can at least get to know ‘em
